November 12, 2020 – John Barrett, Barrett Valuation Services, Inc., Co-chair of RISCPA Business Valuation Committee, hosted a special presentation to the Rhode Island Family Law Inns of Court. The talk entitled “The Impact of the Coronavirus on Business Valuations for Rhode Island Divorce Purpose” highlighted considerations for adjustments to a company’s expected future cash flow projections, increasing the subject company’s cost of capital to reflect COVD-19 related risks and uncertainties, and adjusting the long-term growth rates if a company’s industry has been reshaped by the pandemic over the long-term horizon.
